Recently you may have read about Vermont residents with lakefront properties on Lake Champlain who were successful in petitioning the town for reduced property taxes. The reason? The argued Lake Champlain's algae bloom made their properties less valuable.
We thought we would highlight a study done by the University of Maine called "Water Quality Affects Property Prices: A Case Study of Selected Maine Lakes." It reaches the same conclusion.
